This is a very short post about Hp Laserjet 1012 and making it work on Windows 7.
I bought the laserjet for about ten years ago and it has served me well, it’s excellent.
A couple of years back I switched from Windows XP to Windows 7. I managed to avoid Vista, which I heard was very poor.
Hewlet Packard never released drivers for Windows 7, because the printer was discontinued in April 2006 [Wiki] long before Windows 7 was released (in October 2009 [Wiki]). Hp simply didn’t bother releasing drivers for the new Windows.
However, after some research I found that the 64 bit Vista drivers are compatible with Windows 7, 64 bit. I have used the 1012 drivers for Vista in Windows 7 for a couple of years now and they work great.
